Area measurement is available in Plan Mode, Point Cloud Enabled 360 images and in Point Cloud View Mode.

Plan Mode.

To start, open the Measurement Panel.

  1. Select the Area option.
  2. Click to define the first point of area you want to measure.
  3. Add additional points by clicking around the area you wish to measure.
  4. Complete the measurement by clicking back on the first point (this point will highlight red).
  5. The area measurement is shown in the middle of the selected area.

Your measurement is given an autogenerated name, but this can be personalised and a description added to provide context and make it easier to find when searching.

Before saving your area measurement, you can also:-

  • Link the area measurement to a Tag or Task.
  • Change the visibility - private measurements can only be seen by you, public ones can be viewed by all users.
  • Lock the measurement so other users can't delete or edit it.

Editing Area Measurements

You can easily adjust a measured area to refine your work. Here’s how:

Add a New Point

  • Hover between two points on the area.
  • A temporary intermediate point will appear.
  • Click and drag this point to a new location.
  • The new point will be added, and the area measurement will update in real time.

Remove a Point

  • Simply right-click on any point to remove it.

This makes it simple to adjust your measurements as your project evolves.

To edit an existing area measurement, right click on the area and select 'Edit Measurement' from the context menu.
