Introduction to Layers

An overview of the different datasets and how to control them

Introduction to Layers

The Layers panel is accessed via the side Menu buttons.

Within the panel there is:

  1. Layer name
  2. Toggle grouping feature
  3. Show/hide entire layer
  4. Show/hide individual datasets

Datasets

Information is divided into three sets (1).

  • Tags: non-visual information such as equipment tags
  • Assets: visual data such as 360° images and plans
  • Annotations: additional information such as measurements

Each set is further divided into individual datasets. For each dataset the following options are available to customise how the data is displayed.

Group

Tag and asset hotspots can be grouped to simplify the view on the plot plan and Minimap.

Click on the slider (2) to activate grouping. If there are multiple hotspots in the same area, these are grouped into a single hotspot containing a number. This number represents the number of hotspots in each group.

As you zoom in, the groups automatically expand into either smaller groups or back to individual hotspots. By default, tags and assets are not set to group.

Show/Hide Dataset

The hotspots for an entire dataset can be toggled on and off by using the checkbox shown in (3). This setting affects the view on the plot plan, Minimap and in 360° images.

Show/Hide Layer Dataset

The datasets that make up the layer can be toggled on and off individually to provide finer control over the view (4). This setting affects the view on the plot plan, Minimap and in the 360° images.
