Archiving

Archiving and its functionality in R2S

Archiving

The Archive functionality ensures that you are only shown the latest images in locations where multiple surveys have been conducted over a period of time.

Plan View

When viewing a Plan that contains survey information from multiple dates, the viewer defaults to 'Latest 360s' as shown on the top left of the Main Viewer title bar (1). 'Latest 360s' mode only shows the newest 360 image hotspot in each area, older 360s in the same area are archived (hidden).

Clicking left will show surveys taken at different dates (with the dates shown) so you can see when each area was surveyed.

Clicking right to 'All 360s' will disable Archiving, and show every 360 image taken on the plan at the same time.

When you navigate back to a Plan from a 360 image or the point cloud, the view will default back to 'Latest 360s'.  When there is only a single survey on a plan, the date the survey was completed on will be shown instead, with the button greyed out to indicate no other dates are available (2).

When viewing a 360 image, the date that the survey was completed will be shown. If there are older (archived) images available, an archive button will be enabled in the top left (3) indicating you can go into timeline mode. If no archived images are available this button will be greyed out.

Clicking the Archive button (3) will open the archive timeline where you can click and open images taken at an earlier date.

You are now able to switch to 360s taken at that location at a different date. The date each 360 was surveyed (4) and the distance to that location (5) is displayed.

To exit the timeline mode, click the Archive button at the top. The Archive button will change to say 'See latest' if you have gone back in time
