Parent/Child relationships for Equipment
In version 5.25.0 we added the ability to integrate Parent/Child relationships for equipment. This is known as a hierarchy.
A hierarchy refers to a structured arrangement of equipment where certain elements are considered parents and others are considered children. This arrangement represents the relationships and dependencies between different components within R2S. The parent element typically represents a higher-level or more general component, while the child elements are sub-components or more specific elements associated with the parent. For example, a pump might be a parent element, and its associated sensors, valves, and control systems could be its children.
In the new Tag Panel, there is a breadcrumb (1) showing you the parent/grandparent elements of the selected Tag. These items are selectable and clicking on them will navigate you to that tag. Users can keep navigating upwards until you get to the first parent element, usually the tag for the whole asset. As well as parents, users can navigate to children/grandchildren elements by opening the Children panel (2) in the Details tab. This will display a list of all direct children of the currently selected Tag.
Within the children panel, there are icons to indicate linked tasks (3 - teal pill with number of linked tasks), if the tag has a location (4), and how many further children there are for that tag (5).
Clicking on the location icon will open up the nearest 360 image looking at that tag. If there are no nearby 360 images, it will instead open the plan showing where that tag is.
To aid navigation, we have also added in a back button (6). This will enable users to go back to previously viewed tags, whilst maintaining their window in the Viewer.
