Annotations - Markups
In Update 5.40.0 we added a new feature in R2S that lets users draw public or private markups. These can be used for personal notes, identifying work areas, or highlighting tags or tasks.
To access the markup tool, click the "Add Markup" button in the right-hand toolbar. This will display a list of existing markups in the current view. Hover over a markup to highlight it in the viewer, or click on the location marker to automatically navigate to its position.
Each markup includes an "eye" icon indicating its visibility status. Public markups are accessible to all users, while private ones are visible only to the user who created them.
To create a new markup, click the polygon button to open the drawing panel. You can then use either the default pen tool or the rectangle tool to draw your shape. Once the shape is drawn, select the markup type. This can be a note, tag link, or task link. Add a name, and a description if needed, then choose the markup's colour and set its visibility to public or private.
Click save to add the markup to the project. You can edit the markup by right-clicking on it. You can drag the corners to adjust the shape, or add a new corner by adding an intermediary point. Right-clicking on a corner will remove it. Click save to confirm your changes.
